RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY
Sales Policy - Terms of Sale
For the purposes of this Agreement, “you” refers to the customer/shopper. ‘Us” or “we” refers to the company, store, ExceptionalHome and/or Consignment Design and/or Jackson Newman Design and our e-commerce websites. By shopping in our store (or online), you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions of sale, as further identified herein.
Concerning special offers, sale prices, discounts and promotions; Intermediate markdowns may have been taken prior to being designated as sale, clearance or in calculation of "compare at" references, provided for reference only. Offers may be strictly limited to immediate stock on-hand, and valid in store only. Additional restrictions & exclusions apply, including return and exchange prohibitions. Applicable sales taxes & delivery are additional. Many items require assembly. Most items in store are "final-sale" items, not subject to return or exchange privilege, inquire upon purchase. See store associate for additional terms, conditions, limitations, restrictions and offers that may apply. No offers or discounts can be combined. Advertised sale prices expire within the same month advertised, unless extended, only while supplies last. Some items are demonstration, sample merchandise, 2nds, returns, staging inventory, consignment, previously owned and/or used. Ask a sales associate about any particular stock item for more details. See individual financing contract(s) for details. Financing may be offered by 3rd party lender who accepts all responsibility for its function.
Accessories pictured in sales ads and on store floor, are NOT included. For instance, a dining table will not include the chairs pictured unless stated in the description otherwise. Some product photos in ads or product listings are for representation purposes only, may be stock images and/or may be substituted in store with a like or better product, at management's discretion. No rainchecks.

For customer service and quality control inbound and outbound telephone calls with our company(ies) may be recorded, retained and reviewed at our discretion. If you do not wish to be recorded, notify the representative on the phone immediately.
We work hard to make our customer areas accessible for all, however, due to the nature of home furnishings and design, there may be areas or times when access is more difficult than we’d like, or a customer may desire some assistance in negotiating an area, accessing an item or trying something out. Please notify any sales associate at any time you desire assistance in these regards. We stand-by ready and eager to help in any way possible. Please know that most furniture items are considered “two-person” or “Team Lift” and should not be handled or moved by individual customers. Extreme care must be taken to reduce the chances of personal injury or product damage. Contact your sales associate for assistance and details.
For security, documentation and marketing purposes, delivery staff may take photos of furniture product placed in the home, upon delivery. By purchasing from us, you expressly agree to permit such photos (when taken unobtrusively), and permit the unrestricted use by us, hereby waive any claims for royalty, etc.
All furniture and home decor can be dangerous to infants, disabled persons and even healthy adults. Customer understands the inherent dangers of furnishing a home from hazards including tip-over, suffocation, swallowing, breakage, glass, sharp edges and more. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless for any and all liability whatsoever as it relates to the products and services performed under this Agreement, including but not limited to liability for injury or death of a visitor, family member, homeowner, child, pet or intruder; or any damages to property of any kind or of any persons; by the falling, breaking, tipping-over, or even just the placement of, moving, delivery, assembly, install or set-up of; furniture, accessories, art, painting, rugs, mirrors or decor. Exceptional Home works hard to ensure your satisfaction. As you likely know we are in the business of selling special value, demonstration, tradeshow samples, manufacturer closeouts, home staging assets, overstock or discontinued items, consignment, model home and second-hand “one-of-a-kind” merchandise. Our return policy is unique because the way we acquire our merchandise is unique. We often get our product out of showrooms from major furniture suppliers and manufacturers, staged and model homes after the home is sold, and directly out of people’s homes when they are ready to consign it for sale. This means that more often than not, there is no way to replace your purchase with another of the same item. This is also the secret to how we’re able to bring you our hand-selected, designer curated special values. We will always do our best to disclose any nicks or scratches, but we encourage your full inspection of the item(s) you’re considering to be absolutely certain you are satisfied with the condition. Virtually everything we sell is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS. If you require special conditions, return privileges or exchange options, be sure to arrange this, in writing, in advance of your purchase. In the event that any suit or action is instituted under or in relation to this Agreement, including without limitation to collect on, recollect, defend a returned item/chargeback or claim, or to enforce any provision in this Agreement, the prevailing party in such dispute shall be entitled to recover from the losing party all fees, costs and expenses of enforcing any right of such prevailing party under or with respect to this Agreement, including without limitation, such reasonable fees and expenses of attorneys and accountants, which shall include, without limitation, all fees, costs and expenses of appeals.
Although your satisfaction is very important to us, due to the “one-of-a-kind” nature of our merchandise, Exceptional Home has a NO-REFUND policy. As part of this commitment, we explain our policy to every customer in our TOS, on your sales slip, on delivery documents, prominently posted in our store, on our website, and more. If you have any issues with the merchandise, please feel free to contact us so we can do our best to work out a positive solution. In the unlikely case of a return, exchange, or credit policy exception, the customer will be responsible to cover/pay the costs of professional transport, shipping and handling. A refund is not possible due to the nature of our business. All returns or exchanges are policy exceptions, and MUST BE pre-authorized and must include a “Exceptional Home return number or code” provided by a representative from Exceptional Home. Please email us at returns@Exceptional Home.com to confirm the return or exchange in advance. All returns and exchanges will also be subject to a re-stockng fee and return shipping cost unless stated otherwise. Always contact us before shipping any return or exchange for proper approval, notification, processing and resource allocation. All exchange exceptions must meet the following criteria:
MUST be approved, in writing, by an authorized representative of Exceptional Home, with a return code and
MUST be requested within 72 hours of the original purchase, and
MUST be in the same condition as when purchased, cigarette smoke, pet odors, soil or other detractions from the value will render the exchange option void, and
Will incur a 15-50% restocking debit from exchange value, if/when exchanges are authorized, and
MUST have original purchase documents (Proof of Purchase).
IN NO CASE SHALL A REFUND BE AVAILABLE FOR ANY FINAL SALE ITEMS.
